CFD Simulation on an Improvised Ice Cream Container

A temperature-sensitive product such as ice-cream may cause the industry to face several challenges throughout production, storage, packaging, and distribution processes. With purpose improve performance of an ice cream container that acts cold storage during delivery process, integration a tube-type phase change material (PCM) thermal system was studied. In this work, Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) method used model analysed eight designs systems incorporated within container. The tube type PCM modeled, with without conducting pins, aiming maximise heat exchange system. To obtain proper design, parametric studies on number pins its diameter were further analysed.
